DISTRICT 211 IMPLEMENTION OF ENGINEERING CURRICULUM
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a series of courses offered nationwide to promote careers in engineering. PLTW is a high school program that uses project-based, hands-on experiences to teach students the key elements and skills of engineering and technology-based careers. The application of mathematics and science is integrated in the program to solve engineering problems. Students who complete coursework in the program may earn college credit in the engineering fields.
For the 2009-2010, Township High School District 211 will be offering T202 Introduction to Engineering Design and T302 Principles of Engineering. T202 Introduction to Engineering Design is the initial course in the program sequence and is available for sophomore, junior, and senior students. There is a selection process for enrollment that requires completion of an application that may be accessed online through the link below.
