Since 2007, High School District 211 has administered an assessment series called Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) to students in selected
English and mathematics courses. District 211 studnts are tested using the MAP assessment system at various times throughout the school year.
Test results are mailed to parents of tested students, along with Scoring Interpretation Guides (see link below) that wil assist in the review of scores. Information generated by this assessment will help teachers foucs instruction on specific academic needs for each student.
Please note that student MAP testing in reading and mathematics is dependent on the specific English and mathematics courses in which he or she is enrolled. Only some students will be tested, and of those many will be tested in just one of the two subjects.
Additional information on the MAP Assessments may be found at www.nwea.org. Please call or email your child's teacher or counselor if you have questions or if you need additioanl information aobout the test and results.
