Schaumburg High School

This 3,900 square foot house, built by the building construction students from Schaumburg High School, is located in Palatine.

The home features five bedrooms, three and one-half bathrooms, and a two-story great room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and private bathroom. Oak hardwood flooring and custom maple cabinets are present throughout the home. An “open concept” kitchen/family room combination with a gas fireplace as well as large living and dining rooms also are featured. The front exterior is brick; the remaining exterior has vinyl siding and aluminum soffit, fascia, and gutters.

It has taken three classes all year to complete this house. Students have been responsible for all of the rough and finish carpentry. Thanks to the 4th block students from Hoffman Estates High School for their assistance along the way.
